Child Safety Standards

Bemi is a dating app strictly for adults 18 and older. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This page describes the standards we publish and enforce to keep minors off our platform and to act immediately when child safety is at risk.

1. Adults Only

Every Bemi account requires a date of birth confirming the user is 18 or older, and our Terms of Service prohibit use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly allow minors on the platform. Any account found to belong to a minor is removed immediately.

2. Zero Tolerance for CSAE

The following are strictly prohibited on Bemi and result in immediate content removal and account termination:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind.
  • Any sexualization of minors, real or depicted.
  • Grooming, sextortion, or any attempt to contact or solicit a minor.
  • Trafficking of minors or facilitation of child exploitation.

3. How We Detect Violations

Every photo uploaded to Bemi is automatically screened by our content-moderation systems before it is shown to other users. Automated filters also screen profile text and messages, our human-verification step is designed to keep bots and fake accounts out, and our team reviews every user report.

4. How to Report a Concern

Every profile and every chat in Bemi includes a one-tap Report option, including a dedicated reason for reports that involve a minor or child safety. Reports are reviewed by our team, and confirmed violations are actioned promptly, typically within 24 hours.

You can also report child safety concerns directly to us at [email protected]. Anyone, including people without a Bemi account, can use this channel.

5. Working with Authorities

We comply with all applicable child safety laws in the regions where Bemi operates. When we identify CSAM or credible evidence of child exploitation, we remove it, terminate the accounts involved, preserve evidence as the law requires, and report it to the relevant authorities, including law enforcement and recognized child-protection organizations such as the Canadian Centre for Child Protection and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

6. Point of Contact

Our designated child safety point of contact is reachable at [email protected] and is prepared to discuss our CSAE prevention practices and compliance.
