Delete Your Bemi Account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Bemi account and the data associated with it. Deletion is immediate and irreversible, and works the same whether you signed up with email, Google, Facebook, or Apple.
Delete your account in the app (fastest)
- Open the Bemi app and sign in.
- Go to Settings (profile tab → gear icon).
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.
Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have Bemi installed or can't sign in, email [email protected] from the email address linked to your account with the subject line "Delete my account". We verify the request and complete the deletion, confirming by reply. We respond within the timelines required by applicable law.
Delete some of your data without deleting your account
You don't have to close your Bemi account to remove data:
- Photos: in the app, go to your profile → Edit Profile and remove any photo. It is deleted from our systems.
- Profile details: edit or clear your bio, prompts, interests, and preferences the same way — cleared fields are deleted, not archived.
- Location: disable location access for Bemi in your device settings at any time; we stop collecting it.
- Anything else (e.g. specific messages or historical data): email [email protected] from your account email describing the data you want removed. We verify the request and respond within the timelines required by applicable law (e.g. GDPR, CCPA).
Data removed this way follows the same retention rules described below: prompt deletion from active systems, with a limited subset retained only where legally required.
What is deleted
- Your profile (name, photos, bio, interests, preferences)
- Your connections, likes, and swap history
- All of your messages and conversations
- Your location data and device push tokens
Deletion from our active systems is prompt and completed within 30 days.
What may be kept, and for how long
We may retain a limited subset of data after deletion only where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or ban evasion, and enforce our Terms of Service. Subscription billing records are kept by Apple or Google according to their policies; manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings (deleting your Bemi account does not cancel an active subscription).
